NFT FOR THE PEOPLE
ePiggies is a very special conceptualization and creation project. The idea was to create a collection of NFTs that would stand up to what the modern world knows as "Crypto Whales." For this reason, I thought of making a collection of piggy banks in their most figurative and popular form, the pig. The idea delighted the programmers who asked to participate in the project, and this new adventure began.
I managed to create a community of 348 people on Discord in just one week. The collectible piggy banks project was a success...
I started the project from scratch, generating a layer system that offers different possibilities to obtain a unique piggy bank among a million. What interested us was the opposite of exclusivity, since unlike other NFTs, we wanted everyone to be able to have a piggy bank. While I was focusing on starting a communication strategy and designing the piggy bank layers, the programmers were developing an accessible smart contract for all future and existing digital collectors. Despite not wanting to, in the future we had to generate exclusivity to obtain benefits, so I also designed legendary layers and elements with a low probability of appearing in the piggy banks. The biggest challenge was deciding the probability percentages for each layer to generate rare NFTs or those with hidden layers.
Below, we can see an example of 0.0001% of the ePiggies collection.
Another key element of the long-term project would be the conception of a new currency called "Baicoin." The idea was that these coins would be small monetary rewards you received based on the time you kept an ePiggie in your digital wallet. We also wanted to implement the brand in merchandising and generate strong campaigns focused on the population that was unfamiliar with the sector or hesitant to participate for fear of losing money. ePiggies was presented as a starting point in the game—why start by investing a lot of money if you're not sure? An ePiggie cost €0.5 in its digital currency conversion.
Once we had everything ready, we started announcing the arrival of ePiggies on social media, including Twitter, Discord, and Instagram. In a very short time, we achieved numbers that seemed to grow exponentially. However, we had to abandon the project due to external circumstances and the significant decline of NFTs in Europe. It was a very enriching project in terms of brand creation and marketing in the digital economy world. Below, you can check out what was once a promising Instagram account.
